It has been an amazing month of fabulous articles, videos, and accolades for Rupert’s – and we couldn’t be more honored to be recognized. Here is an overview of some great Rupert’s mentions this month:
The Idaho Wine Commission named Rupert’s as the featured restaurant of the month.
“If you haven’t had the opportunity to eat at Rupert’s—located in Hotel McCall in downtown McCall, Idaho—what are you waiting for? Not only do they have a 2013 James Beard Award Nominee in Chef Gary Kucy, they also have an AMAZING wine list with a great selection from Idaho.”
Along with a great shout-out to Rupert’s, “The Dirt” also gives some great ideas on how to recycle all of those empty wine bottles and corks, upcoming wine events throughout the state, and much more!
Another great article by AAA’s Via Magazine recommends McCall as a featured Weekend Escape. Rupert’s is featured as one of the must-eat places:
“Take in a fine view of the lake and mountain as you dine on seasonal dishes such as venison meatballs with juniper-infused cabbage slaw and a roastedbeet salad brightened with citrus, hazelnuts, and feta.”
Many of our fellow businesses are also featured and we are humbled to be included with amazing restaurants like the Narrows at Shore Lodge, Stacey Cakes, and our brand new neighbors, Salmon River Brewery.
Finally, we are so excited about a brand new project by the Idaho Tourism Department, “Byway Bites.” This video series travels along Idaho’s Scenic Byways and looks at the delicious stops you can make along the way. In this month’s feature, “Byway Bites: Foodie Stops along the Payette River Scenic Byway,” Rupert’s is one of the featured stops (along with some of our other favorite places to eat!).
Tune in and learn something unexpected about Chef Gary Kucy’s eating habits. Here’s a hint…it has to do with pastries and late-night ice cream!
